Kevin R. Walling

Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer

Kevin R. Walling is senior vice president and chief human resources officer of PPG. He leads PPG’s global HR function, including talent management; leadership development; capability building; diversity, equity and inclusion; compensation and benefits; workforce and workplace analytics and insights; and labor and employee relations.

With more than 30 years of experience, Walling delivers shareholder value and commercial performance through HR excellence in more than 70 countries where PPG operates.

Before joining PPG in February 2020, he served as Chief Human Resources Officer at The Hershey Company for nearly a decade. 

Prior to his role with Hershey, Walling held leadership roles with Kennametal Inc., where he was responsible for Human Resources in more than 60 countries; Marconi Corporation plc.; and Acclaim Entertainment. 

Walling currently serves on the Board of Directors at HRPA, the CHRO Global Leadership Board and the Board of Directors of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund. He also serves on the Southwestern United Way Tocqueville Committee.

He is a member of the HR Policy Association and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Labor Relations from LeMoyne College, Syracuse, New York.
