Duraform®

Based on innovative, patented polyester resin technology, the PPG DURAFORM® family of coatings satisfies a wide range of decorative and functional uses in a variety of different markets. Formulated for single-coat application over aluminum or as a two-coat system with a primer over aluminum or steel substrates, Duraform coatings deliver excellent mechanical properties, hardness, stain resistance and affordability while providing an aesthetic appeal. The coatings are engineered with durable pigments for long-lasting color and higher volume solids versus standard polyester-base coil coatings, making them an ideal choice for a wide variety of end-uses.

Products

Duraform BP: Building Products 

  • Designed for rainwear protection, high-traffic areas and trim coil, Duraform BP coatings offer good UV durability and dirt resistance 

Duraform HV: HVAC 

  • Corrosion and abrasion resistance, hardness and forming capability make Duraform HV coatings ideal for application to exterior air-conditioning and interior heating units. 

Duraform AP: Appliances 

  • Meeting specifications for refrigeration, laundry and cooking ranges, Duraform AP coatings combine good hardness and flexibility with excellent resistance to chemicals, scratching and staining. 

Duraform DR: Doors 

  • With excellent forming, embossing and stamping qualities, Duraform DR coatings can be used to create textured surfaces on garage and entry doors. 

Duraform TR: Transportation 

  • Duraform TR coatings are designed for application over trailers as a one-coat system or painted over a primer layer for extra corrosion performance. 

Duraform CP: Consumer Products 

  • Duraform CP coatings cover multiple end-uses, including electrical busways, electrical boxes, bed frames and baseboard heaters — offering good all-around properties for roll-forming metal from coil stock.
