He has more than 45 years of experience in automotive collision repair. Ron is not only an experienced automotive painter he is also a body repair technician by trade.
Ron has been an instructor with PPG since 1999. Before joining PPG, Ron was lead paint technician at Renshaw Automotive Dealership in Madisonville, Kentucky for 20 years.
His love for cars started at a young age with the building of model cars. As a teenager, he and his brother spent most weekend watching drag races and talking to the car owners. Today, Ron enjoys sharing his love of cars and painting with his students. His favorite class to teach is blending, and his primary goal is to teach the students how to be the best painter they can be. He encourages his students to keep an open mind and enjoy what they do. He believes that if they desire to be the best painter they can be and continue learning their craft, they will have a long, profitable, and successful career.
In his free time, Ron enjoys playing organized softball with the Florida Half Century organization, bowling in a competitive league where he holds a 188 average, and sport fishing. He also enjoys spending time with his two sons and two grandsons.
