PD-0631: Identification d'une formule de couleur

Color swatches being matched against vehicle bodywork

La première étape pour bien reproduire une couleur d’origine consiste à trouver la bonne formule.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Trouvez d’abord le code de couleur d’origine sur le véhicule
Reference PPG color chip book or wall poster for color code locations on various vehicles.
NOTE: For HONDA®, the plant code often needed to identify proper color references is the 11th digit in the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
  2. Use existing sprayouts, if available, in Spray-out Card Library
Compare all previously sprayed options to vehicle.
  3. Use PPG Color Variant Deck
    Compare all available variant chips..
  4. Use PaintManager® software if necessary
If necessary, use PPG’s PAINTMANAGER® software to find the color formula number. Note any variant colors available.
  5. Evaluate Color
Use natural daylight or 3M™ Sun Gun to evaluate color. Usually, 10am to 2pm is the best time of day to evaluate color outside in daylight.
