Polk Streetscape Project - Fern Alley, San Francisco

Polk Streetscape Project - Fern Alley, San Francisco

The Polk Streetscape Project is being implemented to encourage pedestrian traffic through alleyways to the new bus and transit system at Van Ness Street in downtown San Francisco, CA. The Fern Alley application - part of this project and pictured below - was completed in 12 days. This was the most detailed ENNIS-FLINT® by PPG DuraTherm® preformed thermoplastic project ever undertaken.

Applied by Asphalt Impressions out of Sacramento, CA, it consisted of 10,000 sq ft of custom designs. ENNIS-FLINT by PPG DecoMark preformed thermoplastic surface signage was also applied throughout.  The challenge was to apply it through the whole alleyway, while keeping it open to traffic.

Location: San Francisco, CA
Applicator: Asphalt Impressions
Product: DuraTherm® Inlaid Surface System, DecoMark® Surface Signs
