Samuel Roman, the head of Luis Muñoz Marín Dual Language Academy in Cleveland, Ohio, stated that creativity requires bravery. Over 40 local PPG employees participated in a COLORFUL COMMUNITIES® project at the school, demonstrating both bravery and creativity through the application of new colors and the creation of vibrant murals.

This summer, severe floods hit Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands. Among those affected were PPG employees, many of whom lost personal belongings and property. The floods also damaged several PPG sites, including the Automotive OEM and Refinish facilities in Wuppertal and Hilden, Germany, the Architectural Coatings office in Hasselt, Belgium, and various communities in the Netherlands.

With 30 years of leadership in ultraviolet- and electron beam-curable coatings for wood substrates, PPG is bringing the advantages of energy curing to the metal coil industry with another industry breakthrough—the PPG DuraNEXT™ family of UV- and EB-curable primers, backers, topcoats and clearcoats for interior and exterior applications. Formulated without solvents, these solutions produce little to no volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions and fully bond to the substrate and cure in seconds with virtually no loss in weight and thickness during the process.

On January 23, 2025, over 100 PPG leaders completed the first COLORFUL COMMUNIITES® 10 Year Flagship project in Fort Lauderdale Florida, USA.
