Pretreatments

PPG offers the widest range of premium-quality pretreatments and ancillary products to prepare vehicle metal surfaces for application of corrosion-resistant primer and subsequent topcoat finish. These pretreatments add value by reacting with the metal surface to impart coatings that improve paint adhesion and corrosion performance.

Electrocoats

PPG has been a global leader in electrocoat technology for the automotive industry for more than 60 years, protecting more than 750 million vehicles to date. These high-throwpower coatings offer exceptional resistance to salt spray, humidity and cyclic corrosion and provide a smooth, defect-free film that enables world-class topcoat finishes. All PPG OEM cathodic epoxy coatings are formulated with zero lead, low VOCs and low HAPs. These coatings are robust and easy to use, with a wide window of operation.

Waterborne basecoats
